Romance in the Spotlight:
D.C. Gambel is a mother, army wife, and a hopeless romantic. Romance has always been her genre of choice whether it’s contemporary, historical, paranormal, or even pushing towards erotica in both reading and writing. When she first decided to try her hand at writing, romance was the obvious choice. Getting lost in a different world, living unimaginable lives is something she strives for even if it’s just a temporary enjoyment.
Get to know D.C. Gambel:
What was the simplest romantic gesture you’ve ever received?
Simplest? Would be random chocolates, just because.
What was the hardest scene you’ve ever written?
That would be killing off one of my favorite characters. In my defense, it was necessary.
Who’s your favorite character? Why?
From my stories? That’d be Cam from The Horsemen Chronicles. He was my first attempt at the sexy, misunderstood bad boy and he came out amazing.
Tease me with the sexiest quote from one of your books.
“The next time we have sex, and understand this Evie, it is just a matter of when, it will be without the thought of impending death linger over out heads.”
If you could, how would you help the Indie Writers Community?
I’m constantly doing twitter lift posts, or helping newer authors with information I know, that took my time to learn, and I make sure to leave reviews. I wish I could things on a larger scale.
Why did you choose your genre?
Halloween is my favorite time of the year. With these genres, it’s like I get to live that time of year all the time.
What was the first romance novel you read?
THAT I can’t remember. It was one of those romance novels with the cheesy sexy couple on the cover. It was the first time I couldn’t put a book down.
Name one song that always makes your writing playlist.
I don’t have a song, but John Legend, Ed Sheeran, and Bruno Mars, tend to make every playlist.
