Questions & Answers
- What was the simplest romantic gesture you’ve ever received?
I am often read to at night – books of my choosing until I fall asleep. It is the sweetest thing ever and I enjoy sharing my book world with him.
- What was the hardest scene you’ve ever written?
Scenes can be hard but it’s actually writing the characters emotional depth that is the hardest for me. It pulls at my emotions and sometimes I have to dig deep into my own feelings in order to get into my character’s head. In Ambivalent my main character had gone thru a pretty traumatic childhood and it took me days to write chapters where she would reflect on her past because I could feel all the words. She was definitely a challenge.
- Who’s your favorite character? Why?
My favorite character is Gloria from Ambivalent. I wrote her personality based off a combination of my Aunt Gloria and my grandmother, Guadalupe. They were both extremely strong willed women who didn’t take crap from anyone but could be loving all the same.
- Tease me with the sexiest quote from one of your books.
“He responded by removing his mouth from mine and licking a line down the side of my neck as his hand pulled at the ridge of my silk underwear.”
- If you could, how would you help the Indie Writers Community?
It is extremely important to support each other in the community. I feel this includes everything from sharing each other’s work to reading and writing reviews.
- Why did you choose your genre?
I chose the genre because I have always felt that romance books bring a level of happy escape for lots of readers. I am also a believer of true romance. Deep soul connections and everything passionate.
- What was the first romance novel you read?
The Three Sisters Island trilogy by Nora Roberts
- Name one song that always makes your writing playlist.
Running If You Call My Name by Haim
